Find the job you’re looking for this spring – CDG to host careers fair on the Isle of Wight

Careers Development Group (CDG) is hosting a careers fair on Thursday 4 April in partnership with a number of training organisations from the Island.

Supporting customers with various barriers to employment, the charity has made a big difference to the lives of locals on the Isle of Wight with its Newport centre, guiding people into work.

Islanders, like Ricky Lester – a CDG Newport customer who landed a role as a production assembler for Neutrik after being assisted by the charity’s staff – are being encouraged to accept a helping hand from the organisation.

Partnering with several local organisations, including HTP Training, The Isle of Wight College, Island Training and Smart Training, CDG will be using the careers fair to showcase available work opportunities. The fair, held in conjunction with the Island’s training providers, will help show that the Isle of Wight is a great place to live as well as work.

A broad cross-section of Island employers will be attending the fair to promote the various career paths available in a variety of sectors. Training providers will also be on hand to discuss which routes to follow in order to take up the opportunities on offer.

The event will be held at Newport County Football Club between 11am and 3pm, and is open to everyone on the Island looking for a new job or career.

Employers wishing to attend or request more information should contact CDG employer relationship manager Reuben Loake on 0300 247 2362 or email him at [email protected].
