Working with Hays

CDG Area Manager (Hampshire & I W, Surrey &Sussex) approached Hays’ Education Recruitment, Partner of the National Bursars’ Association, with a view to working in partnership to engage potential candidates for the role of Teaching Assistants. This was in order to fill current job vacancies available in many of the local schools within the Southampton Area.
Through following the PETS’ structure, the employer criteria was passed on to the local JCP Partnership Managers. JCP were very supportive in ensuring that only suitable candidates were put forward for the pre-screening interviews. Subsequently, these interviews took place at the JCP, over two days.
Out of the 32 potential candidates, 13 were selected as being eminently suitable.
Working in partnership with JCP, Hays and Southampton CDG were able to design a bespoke training schedule, which would ensure suitable candidates were prepared for entry into the Education sector.
An integral part of the course was the LSC recognised ‘Accredited Training’ provided by Pivotal Education – ‘Behaviour Management for Teaching Assistants’
Interviews were held on the last day of the course and Hays were so impressed by the calibre of the candidates, that they offered jobs to all 13 applicants.
James Gage, Hays’ representative, said… “The quality and standard of the candidates was so high, I will definitely be using your services again in September.….”
