New company targets national growth

In Ballarat, Australia this week for BESTCDG’s board meeting, UK-based company director, David Bradford, said he was delighted with the prospects for national growth and the sound platform that had already been established by the company’s recently-appointed general manager, Chris Dale.

Joint shareholders of the new company, the highly successful UK charitable organisation, Careers Development Group (CDG), and western Victoria’s award winning not-for-profit BEST Community Development, are combining their significant resource base, experience and expertise, to assist BESTCDG in developing partnerships across Australia.

BESTCDG’s general manager, Chris Dale, advised the board that a number of  project submissions are currently being finalised and these comprise partnerships with many of Australia’s leading community organisation service providers.

Inaugural chairman, Erich Sinkis, said that the new board had set some challenging targets and key performance indicators for the new company, but the developments and achievements of the first three months are already justifying the confidence and investment that both CDG and BEST Community Development have placed in the new company.

BEST Community Development CEO and BESTCDG director, Ron Stone, said it was “very rewarding to be part of a joint commercial enterprise between two successful not for profits in the UK and Australia, each of whom would be the beneficiaries of profits that would be distributed to them to enable further expansion of their community development and charitable activities.”
