Hipjul meets the Mayor of London

My name is Hipjul and I have just finished a 13 week course at CDG and found the course very enlightening. When I first started I needed loads of help with my CV and other skills but during the first week Connie helped me to develop my CV and then Mathew brushed it up for me. Half way through my course I went on a work placement for a company called A4E as a mentor which was sorted out by my placement officer Kemi. As a mentor I worked with clients on a one-to-one basis helping them through personal problems and other barriers which were stopping them from getting back into work, as a client myself I was also able to help them which involved developing a career plan. The best part of the placement was when I met the Mayor of London Boris Jonson through A4E when he came to the head office at Shepherds Bush, this was a great experience which I would not have had if it wasn’t for CDG. The whole 13 weeks was a very educational and enjoyable programme which I would encourage others to take on.
