Careers Development Group offers a wide range of consultancy services to Local Authorities, Third Sector organisations and community groups.

CDG is pleased to be able to offer high quality consulting services through its own full-time staff as well as a network of affiliates throughout the UK and Europe. Our services are cost effective and tailor-made to the unique needs of the organisations requesting assistance.

CDG’s Chief Executive, Roy O’Shaughnessy, has over twenty years experience in providing high level consultancy in the UK and the USA. Prior to joining CDG Roy led consultancies with Cambridgeshire County Council, Bedfordshire County Council, Northamptonshire County Council as well as facilitated discussions with a diverse group of government offices and organisations. The consultancies ranged from the quality of children’s services, learning disabilities, change management and feasibility studies. In the USA Roy worked with scores of charities on developing services including fundraising, finance, and the implementation of strategic services. He also provided change management services for organisations receiving government funding who encountered financial problems.

Learning and Development
The Learning and Development Team at CDG has an amalgamation of experience in public, private and not for profit centres. We have developed a range of training sessions and workshops which have added value to our business and helped staff improve their skills. Due to the success of these sessions we are now delivering them to our subcontractors and customers.

• Dyslexia Awareness Workshop – Developed with advice from the British Dyslexia Association, this workshop raises awareness of the issues faced by people with dyslexia, and provides strategies for all staff members.
• SMARTER Targets – A 40 minute workshop to ensure all staff are setting flexible, achievable and challenging targets.
• Equal Opportunities and Diversity- Awareness of the importance of this topic
• Performance Management – Training to provide up-to-date theory of performance management as well as giving strategies for managers to use performance management effectively
