Community working

Careers Development Group believes passionately in partnership working. We acknowledge that it is essential to successfully deliver excellent public service. Since 1982 we have effectively developed strong relationships with the public, private and voluntary/community sectors to create programmes and services that deliver outstanding results for our customers, partners and local communities.

We work with the voluntary and community sectors to enable the development of a full range of quality services for our customers. CDG values the diversity within these sectors. This brings a wide variety of opportunities enabling people to transform their lives. Among our partners are voluntary, private and public organisations that offer a targeted range of support to inspire the most vulnerable and disadvantaged individuals and groups to move into sustainable and meaningful employment.

Are you an organisation that provides support to any of the following:

  • Young people
  • Black and minority ethnic groups
  • Faith groups
  • Lone parents
  • Individuals with drug and/or alcohol dependency
  • Individual with mental health issues
  • Individuals with multiple barriers to work
  • People older than 50 years old
  • Carers
  • Victims of crime
  • People with disabilities
  • People who are homeless or have housing issues

Or, do you provide:

  • Childcare
  • Mentoring and volunteering organisations
  • Self employment support
  • Housing advice

Every year we support some 26,000 jobseekers in increasing their qualifications and skills base and finding sustainable employment. We operate more than 20 training centres in London and the regions, with up to 300 staff and a turnover of £27 million. The quality of our training has been consistently recognised by impressive Ofsted results.

Between 2009 and 2011 CDG is strategically extending its development work with the third sector in the UK. We would like to work in partnership with other specialist and niche providers to develop innovative future projects. This will ensure we continue to play a vital part in meeting the current government targets of 80% of people of working age in employment.

If you would like to support our work and explore partnership opportunities with us please contact CDG's business development team at development@cdguk.org
