SARAH KING

Sarah has over 30 years’ experience in PR and the media. After working as a senior director with a number of leading London agencies, she became an independent consultant in 1998.

Sarah’s extensive experience includes not only advising many blue-chip companies and major charities on their communications but also running a business as a PR agency managing director. As an independent consultant, Sarah’s clients include agencies and commercial as well as voluntary sector organisations. She also mentors PR professionals and runs training courses on topics such as communications strategy, issues and crisis management, corporate communications, corporate social responsibility and internal communications.

Sarah is a non-executive director of Hillgate Public Relations, First Step Trust (a charity which runs a number of social enterprise projects around the country, providing employment and training opportunities for people with long term mental illness) and a member of the advisory board of Tearfund, the international aid and development agency.

Sarah’s work has three times won the coveted Sword of Excellence from the Institute of Public Relations.

Married with three children, Sarah lives in South West London.
