ROY O'SHAUGHNESSY

Roy
joined CDG in July 2008 and this year the charity became the only one in London (and one of only two in the UK) to be chosen to deliver the Work Programme - the coalition government’s flagship back to work scheme – as a prime provider.

The charity, formed in 1982, employs over 350 people and helped 30,000 people on their journey into work during 2010. It operates from centres across London, the South East and East Midlands.

Before joining CDG Roy spent four years at children's charity St Christopher’s Fellowship, and had been chief executive of a number of organisations in the USA. He has an extensive change management background as well as experience with corporate, government and voluntary sector organisations.

Roy is a member of the Institute of Directors; the Association of Chief Executives of Voluntary Organisations; and a Fellow of RSA (The Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce). He is also a Governor of ARK schools in Portsmouth and serves on the board of the Association of Learning Providers.
