Mike graduated from the London School of Economics, qualified as a chartered accountant, and after initially working in finance, moved into general management.
He was the managing director of a start up business; the merchandise director of a major home shopping business; and then the chief executive of several home shopping businesses owned respectively by British, French and German shareholders. Mike has been involved in new business development, and in major change and rationalisation programmes.
As well as his role at CDG, Mike is also a non-executive director of a publicly quoted company involved in home shopping and educational supplies; a non- executive director of the National Offenders Management Service and the United Kingdom Border Agency; a member of the audit committees of the Home Office and the Ministry of Justice; and Chair of Governors at a sixth form college.
Mike lives in the New Forest, where he enjoys horse riding and cycling.
